Create Your Own Terracotta Warrior: Mini Terracotta Army Workshop in Xi’an
This hands-on workshop invites you to step into the world of ancient Qin dynasty artisans and create your own mini terracotta warrior, inspired by the legendary Terracotta Army of China’s first emperor.
Led by a heritage craft instructor, you’ll first learn about the history, symbolism, and craftsmanship behind the Terracotta Warriors — from facial expressions and armor details to their role in imperial burial traditions.
Using specialized terracotta clay, you’ll then be guided through the sculpting process, shaping a miniature warrior by hand. Each piece is unique, reflecting the individuality that made the original army so extraordinary.
Once completed, your sculpture will be carefully packed for you to take home — a personal keepsake and a tangible connection to one of China’s most iconic archaeological discoveries.
This experience is available only in Xi’an, making it a rare opportunity to engage with living heritage at its source.
Please note:
The listed price is a non-refundable reservation fee. The remaining 288 RMB can be paid on-site during the experience.
A minimum of 2 guests is required to run the activity. Solo travelers are warmly welcome to book — if we don’t reach the minimum number, you’ll receive a full refund.
Our experience usually starts at 2:00 PM local time, but if it’s just your group, we can be flexible and start at a time that works best for you! (Duration: Approx. 1-2 hours)
Hosted in English
